One of our first episodes was about dedicated listening and we discussed listening to Zeppelin songs at the same time as they popped up while reading a Zep biography. This time, because of all the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (released last month) and the Monty Python (upcoming) overload, we thought we'd take on this same topic from another angle! Although probably with the same level of intoxication (low to medium). This time, it's books, music, tv, radio, film, video games, and more that are all from the same subjects. Enjoy! We did.

Except for the first episode, keeping in mind the mayhem part, we're actually cooking with whiskey. We give the history of the Indiana favorite Hoosier sugar cream pie with a few additions/alterations/things. Plus, maybe a bit more about cooking with beer.

Welcome to the manor! Today we're getting into folk music. Partially because of our love of folk metal and folk music, but also it'll be a nice way to lead into the Led Zeppelin third album era. For part one we get into some aspects, such as modes and melodies, and also its origins and revivals and we stop just a wee bit before its cultural impact (context!) on the '60s, which will be part two in not quite a month.

As part of our two or more week long festival of all things HHGTTG (primary phase era more or less -- usually more), welcome back to the show that most hoopiest of all froods, who always knows where his towel is and that you should all sass... Sam!
Sam tells me about his love of HHGTTG at a local English pub over a couple of pints of bitter on a Thursday night (seriously, those are all true). This time, though, you should all be able to hear the discussion even over the ambient noise of the pub (mostly true).
