Episode 047 -- When is a band not the band anymore?

Join the terrors as they embark on a journey to determine at what point do changes in the line up of a band cause it to become something else.  Many examples are given and none taken.

Finally we hit the songs of the first Led Zep album!  We hit the highlights and what we love and also compare from the songs they "borrowed" (ahem, nudge nudge, say no more).

Episode 045 -- Deep Purple Mark II (part 3 -- Machine Head)

Welcome back to Deep Purple, wherein you'll hear us discuss one of the all time greatest hard rock albums, Machine Head!  We'll also touch on the Rolling Stones Mobile Unit and we hail Lord Blackmore the Great, as well.  Snicker snicker.

Episode 044 -- Tolkien the movie

Our thoughts on the Tolkien biopic movie, which we found to be pretty good actually!  We only get snarky (about the movie) a couple of times.  I would paraphrase River Song again with "Spoilers, Sweeties," but seriously, the movie only goes up to where he begins writing the Hobbit, which was over 80 years ago.  How long do you want us to wait?

Episode 043 -- Avengers Endgame

Our thoughts on the latest Marvel movie.  We waited a while to prevent spoilers, but seriously, it's been out a month, so if you listen to this and haven't seen it, that's on you.  As River Song would say: "Spoilers, Sweeties."

Episode 042 -- Led Zeppelin, the first album era (part 2 of 3 -- touring)

More Zeppelin goodness!  The band are enjoying the fruits of their labors, enjoying the fecundity of American touring!  They possibly toured other places, too.  Pretty sure we mention all that.  Venues! Groupies! Songs! Groupies!  Alcohol! Groupies!  (Okay, we do talk about groupies a bit, but not that much... we'll get deeper into groupies in later tours.)

 

Episode 041 -- Deep Purple, the Mark II years (part 2 - the Fireball album)

Hooray! More Deep Purple!  Jody goes into wonderful detail on the Fireball album, while James attempts humor.  One of them succeeded.
