Welcome to the New Year!  We thought we'd start the year (well, based on most people's thoughts of the new year -- ours starts at sun down on October 31st) the same way we started the podcast.  With Tolkien!

This is the first of a few episodes where we discuss J.R.R. Tolkien's essay "On Fairy Stories."  We get a bit into his thoughts, but also into ours and how the essay relates to current themes in movies/literature/things.  In this episode, we cover the first two sections: "Fairystory" and "Origins."  Next episode, we'll cover section three "Children."
