Episode 289: Conspiracy Theories 2 -- Phantom Timeline and Elvis

Episode 286: D&D campaign settings, alignment, and editions

Welcome back to our pre-50th anniversary blitzkrieg of D&D episodes, where we talk about our own personal thoughts and likes of various things before getting into some history and context next year for the 50th!  This time around, we're talking about our favorite editions (for example, basic Red Box, 1st, 5th), campaign settings (such as Mystara and Greyhawk), and alignments (chaotic good all the way!).  If you're old like we our, these may take you down memory lane.  If you're younger and want to hear about some old school things, jump on in!  But we do like some of the newer content, as well, so there's something for everyone anyway.

Episode 283: Lovecraft and Carcosa

Strap on to a Mi-go and let's get into background on Carcosa, that most vile of planets that has given us some decent short stories and the future King in Yellow (but seriously, the food and drink are fantastic!).

We'll get into where it is and who from Earth "might" have owned it.  There are probably also stories of alcohol and prostitutes that would make me uncomfortable, but then don't sit there! ;) 

You'll even more on the author horrors that were around this time, but even more so with the roses at the bottom of a plant, and in which I did not practice patience.  

Being close to neighbors, not at all.  Time to to set off some sewer, like a horrible Bride of Frankenstein.
